For getting a monthly grant, you have to change your withdrawal method and opt for Capitec Bank. For that, you have to adopt the following steps:

  • Go to the official website of the SASSA.
  • Open the ID Card Section.
  • Press this button to move ahead.
  • Find the box which is showing “Change Banking Details
  • Now you have to enter your 13 digit ID Card Number along with an active cell number to verify your identity.
  • You will get a SMS notification and there you will be provided a link from SASSA.
  • Open the link, the proforma will be opened in front of you which you have to fill completely.
  • Then, you need to find “Payment Method Option” and there you have to choose “Capitec Bank”. 
  • Now you have to enter Capitec Bank Account Number, Account Type and Branch Code.
  • Re-examine all the details which you added in the form and once you are sure everything is correct then submit the form.

How to Perform Financial Transactions Using Capitec Bank?

Depositing money directly into the Capitec Bank from the SASSA Card is quite simple; you have to apply these easy steps:

  • Bring Annexure C (Bank Form); you can get it from the official website or from the nearest SASSA Office.
  • Fill out the whole Annexure C by adding up the registered ID number and phone number.
  • After filling up Annexure C, you have to submit it directly to SASSA’s nearest office. (There is no facility for online submission of this form).
  • After the processing of your case, a message of confirmation that your account is linked with SASSA. After the approval, from the next payment cycle you will be able to withdraw money through Capitec Bank. Further, the grant can be withdrawn over an ATM any time.
