SRD R350 Grant – How to Appeal for Declined Status

In case your SASSA SRD R350 Grant hasn’t been accepted, you need to take two steps:

  • What are the reasons your grant application has been declined?
  • Make an appeal for reconsideration.

Follow the following process for making an online SASSA appeal. Don’t lose hope. In case you put up an appeal for the declined application, there are chances that your case will be looked into, again and you receive the grant. 

Before proceeding, go to the official site for a final SASSA status check to get the current status of your application. It will give you a clear picture of where you stand.

SASSA SRD 350 Grant Appeal Online

  1. Go to srd.dsd.gov.za/appeals
  2. Now you need to enter the ID and phone number that was used during the process of application.
  3. Select the “Send Pin” option.
  4. Now enter the received PIN.
  5. Select the month that you need to appeal for.
  6. Give the reason behind this appeal.
  7. Now submit the appeal and wait for the response.

Remember! The Sooner, The Better. 

If you want your appeal to be heard, do the following:

  1. Appeal within 30 days of decline.
  2. It can take up to 3 months for any response to come.
  3. There are many applicants who were successful in getting reconsidered for the grant.

Monthly Reconsideration Application for SRD R350 Grant

It is possible that your application is not accepted for many months. In this case, you need to reapply every month. SASSA strongly maintains that the applicants who have been reconsidered through appeal, should submit reconsideration application for the months that follow. 

Please Note: Delays in addressing the reconsideration appeals are very much possible. The applicants need to be patient and be assured that the management is constantly working on the timely response.
